Can I suggest you consider either a "glued down" floor from Karndean, or alternatively either their Palioclick or Korlok products, which are click lock flooring designed specifically for "wet" areas such as kitchens & bathrooms, and are extremely hard wearing? You can choose whether to lay before or after installing the kitchen itself, and there are a wonderful range of both tile and woodgrain options. A sample image of a white kitchen with a Korlok floor that was narrow and with limited light - I don't have an equivalent with a similar worktop to yours, but trust me - it would look wonderful!

Hi, Hope you don't mind me getting in touch! My name is Lucy and I'm working on a new TV series about people renovating their kitchens. We would love to hear from people in the UK who have ordered/near ordering their kitchen. The show is documentary style, with a well-known presenter who has over 20 years experience in the building trade. I wonder if this may be of interest to you? If so, please pop me an email with a contact number, budget, and brief description of timescale to Lucy.Cooper@PiProductions.tv. Kind regards, Lucy

I think you could aim for the same colour LVT as your worktops. An oak coloured floor would join up nicely to grey carpet.

It may depend on the actual colour of the concrete worktop. There are lots of greys, some appear quite cool and veer towards blue, actual poured concrete is usually a 'yellow' grey and so looks warmer. Knowing the real colour will help to narrow down your choices. My gut feeling would be huge format porcelain tiles from Mandarin Stone. They do lots of colours.
