Work in progress. Still no colour chosen
Comments (13)Absolutely, I could definitely leave the sink unit alone. Are you suggesting the walls could be violet? And re buying things, I know. I get all excited and buy beautiful, dirt cheap things on a whim. I currently have two farmhouse kitchen tables ( which were both from freecycle), a red melamine-topped 60s one (£20) and am haggling over an ercol one ( super expensive at £48). I will have to start releasing them back into the wild soon. The cameos were £6 for the pair and they are adorable....See MoreStudio Apartment Design - Progress so far and finishing touch thoughts
Comments (1)Use of space is great and some ingenius ideas. Hate the idea of a Murphy bed so this is a much better solution. One thing that jars with me is the table right up against the sofa. There's no denying it's a drop leaf dining table, rather occasional/side table , so to me it feels rather shoved up against the couch. Have you considered moving it (perhaps with the addition of castors on the legs for versatility ) to act more like an island for the kitchen area, which can then be opened out when needed. It certainly seems like there's room. You could then consider whether a console or shelf (possibly drop down) could be fixed to act as a workstation elsewhere? Overall, however, a lovely job and great use of a compact space. Well done, would love to see it when you've finished....See MoreColour scheme for entire flat
Comments (2)Sorry but I can’t really help with colours of white, I’m just a brilliant white and dark grey person! Just wanted to say that’s a lovely looking house you have, I’m sure there will be others along to help out with shades!...See Morewhat colour kitchen worktop for all white kitchen?
Comments (72)Love your kitchen, you’ve done a great job, not only does the kitchen look good, it’s totally practical, drawers are the way forward, even if they are more expensive than cupboards. I’ve just redone a kitchen in a house we rent out, the old one was finally falling apart. I was going to go to Howdens and use the joiner etc we knew, but in the end we used a small local company, which cost us £300 more, but the quality of their interior cabinets and doors was so outstanding, plus they could do everything, including tiling, we went with them. We didn’t change the floor, but did everything necessary, I’m hoping it lasts well and our tenants look after it!...See More- 10 years ago
