Sorry, I never came back to my post as I really had to find a paint. It was (minor) panic stations at the start of the week. I settled on wimborne white on three of the walls and then the designers guild cantucci on one wall. It looks really lovely. I not need to decide on kitchen cabinet colours. I've got a bit of time to do that though. Thank you for all of your suggestions. It was really helpful.

Hi, Using colour: I would stay neutral for the walls above the units; a great colour example of this is 'Strong White' by Farrow and Ball and then for the wall on the left of the photo I would have this as a feature all and go for a darker tone such as 'Green Blue' by Farrow and Ball. Using lighting: spotlights are great as they can provide an even spread of light in your kitchen, especially if you are limited in natural light. Due to having a dark coloured back splash, having under cabinet spotlights on a separate electrical circuit would provide additional lighting on the worktop area in the evening and night hours. It could be any two cool greys from several sources but it may not matter. If you look at for example Farrow and Ball's colours it could be Ammonite and Purbeck Stone which could look very different in different settings or it could be Dimpse and Lamproom grey. In a sense, the most important thing is light because no matter what a colour looks like on a chart or an image, the light in a room can alter it dramatically. If you want cool greys then get one test pot of a pale cool as a starting point and go from there.

@Chloe loves: that’s the thing lol I spend a lot of time in the bathroom because of a medical condition @Cassandra: the colour I have now is very similar to skimming stone. It doesn’t make the terrazzo tiles pop! I feel like it doesn’t do them justice. Always modern emulsion or scrub able paint I will get some A4 samples and see Any recommendations for lighting, mirror above sink, or tips and tricks to paint the flush plate in Matt gold? I considered buying the equivalent in brass but it’s 200 pounds - a bit too much for a toilet flush plate 🤣 I appreciate all your help and ideas because I’m not qualified yet
