The wall space above our TV looks too bare. Any suggestions- thinking either shallow floating shelves or wall art but any ideas would be appreciated!

Comments (6)Hi Jody, a neutral set of prints would look great with perhaps a small amount of navy to add some interest. If you go in Desenio you can use the gallery wall tool to put together your selection of prints to try to visualise everything together. Alternatively you could print off some family pictures in black and white and frame them in black frames above the sofa for an elegant look. 10 years agoYou can hang something above the TV. It won't take away the attention from the screen when you're watching TV, but it will add interest to the wall when the TV is off.
I think that the lack of visible window dressing makes it feel extra bare now. I think that hanging the TV higher up the wall will look odd. You'd need a taller piece of furniture under it to keep the visual connection.
As mentioned, painting the wall will be a good option too.
