hi just finished my new bathroom but feel its missing something, but what ? any suggestions please

Fit a separate shower and bath in small bathroom
Comments (12)Options then would be:- putting them on the shorter wall opposite the sink: 800 wide shower (or 700) but 1m length coming out into the room as the entry door is offset. That gives a good sized shower. Then you have 1m tub space to play with for a deep tub. Then I would put the WC and sink on the other short wall so entry into the tub isn’t hindered. 1200 or 1300 tub on the 2m back wall with an 800 or 700 wide corner shower. Actually you could potentially have it so the wc is far left back wall with 1500 bath opposite the door and then a corner shower far right side. It’s all a bit cramped though with a standard or even small sized tub so do consider a shower over bath. You can get short rise baths if it’s an issue with getting in/out that’s the issue. Comments (2)Depends if you have other bathrooms. Putting in a small corner shower as the only shower in the house would be a regret later I think. Comments (7)I'd make one big bathroom but have a door into it from your bedroom as well as from the hall - so it's an ensuite most of the time, but guest access from hall when necessary. Agree with above to make a lovely bedroom and bathroom for yourselves and share with guests - who will also appreciate a lovely bathroom rather than a small internal one. And from your two-bath solution - the main reason for me to want an ensuite is to have easy access to the toilet from bedroom during the night, so having the toilet separate from both bathrooms (and especially far from the ensuite) makes no sense to me at all. While Jonathan's idea works better if you want two smaller bathrooms, I'd rather have one big bathroom and no ensuite than a tiny ensuite....See Morehow to fit a bathroom into this bedroom?
Comments (8)just got around to filling the bathroom fittings in again and have taken some screen shots of what I had before. Not sure the measurements work out right size wise but I need to ideally leave room to the right of the door for a dressing area/clothes storage as there is none otherwise in the room. argh. it's so hard trying to fit it all in. lol. The bed doesn't seem to work on other walls either though so think this is the only option for it. I've kept the bathroom at that end because the other side of the wall where the bed head is, is another bedroom to another flat so didn't think it would be great sticking the bathroom there so people can hear people in the wc at night, haha. not sure if you can see the measurements but i need to leave space to walk around the end of the bed as well so it might be tight...See More

Hi Katie,
The bathroom looks lovely, it lacks artwork..
Get some prints you really like and have them framed up, black frames with a taupe mount. Use non reflective glass...
When the frames are ready seal the back edges with clear silicon to stop damp getting in...... They will transform the room !!!!

- 10 years agoas always thanks for you useful comments, firstly in terms of stools found this one thoughts?, still looking for a print i like, although i might try a few of them i have around the house and see how they look nd in terms of towels on the towel rack does it has to be the same design as the hand one or can it be white i want it to have a spa like feeling
