We would advise it is completely dependant on the space and your requirements. Walk-in wardrobes look great if they are kept tidy, however a plus for having doors is that it can conceal any mess and give more protection for clothing. Another trend for walk-in wardrobes is to have smoked glass doors mixed with open elements this could also work with matt lacquered doors. Alternatively you could choose to have open elements for items such as bags, shoes or coats (things you know that are easy to keep tidy) then hinged doors for other modules.

For anyone else reading this thread, you can now get aluminium internal sliding doors either frame or surface fixed. These come fully glazed, in the steel look and even as frameless glass sliding doors. Happy to help with product advice and suppliers if you'd like to get in touch. Hi! A belated thank you to everyone who helped me finally make a decision! I went with a 3 pane sliding door (on a 3.7m opening) allowing me to open over half the width. I figured that with bifolds you would still have the frames stacked to one side which takes up a chunk of the opening as well. I chose the XP Glide from Express Bi-folds. Have found them professional and easy to deal with, we are just awaiting delivery now! The only bug I had is that their choice of handles were pretty basic, either a chunky (in my view an eye sore!) steel bar or a regular lever handle. They only come in black, grey or white! I was initially going with a very sleek 2 pane sliding door from Ultraline that had an integrated handle within the frame but the cost was too high for me to change it to a 3 pane. If I had the budget though I would have gone with them instead. Express Bi-folds do a slimmer framed option than XP Glide, I think it is called XP Panoramic. The 3 pane was more than Ultraline I think though. The consultant at Express-Bi-folds also advised against slimmer framed bonded glass options as if for any reason you damage the glass you have to replace the whole frame as well which is a major structural headache. Most slim framed options use this method though (as opposed to beaded - correct me if I am wrong!) so I would have chosen to ignore his advice if my budget allowed :-)

I agree with 4 Panel sliding door cause it make it unified with the other windows on the left (each panel in similar width), For the front adding small porch with landing and gable roof Will make it more welcoming I just concerned about the half cladding at the front it gives of the vibes unfinished building, usually half cladding wrapped around all the second story exterior But from the front and back picture you share it seems the cladding of second story on front and back were different color so at least you should paint it the same color if adding cladding to the second story too expensive for temporary I would recommend move the tv so it didnt covering the window, if you add sliding wall in the wall section of the bottom right corner room and use Murphy/sofabed it can be used as guest room Change the orientation of the closet near enterance to get bigger foyer and space for small window to get more natural light Change the WC door opening location so ITS more private and open up the wall so the hall feel more spacious
