anyone that has one...do you use it often or a nice idea but a bit of an ornament?

Use it often ! Only downside is smoke smell on clothes /hair ... But if you have a dip in the hot tub after wards in your way back in.... Sorted !!

We have had a fire pit for the past 6 yrs or more years love it but we have recently bought a stainless steel chimenia and love it more . You don't get covered in smoke but ideally only use it when it's the 2 of us as the heat is more directed.

I helped my Dad build a fire pit in his garden, he made wooden seats to sit around the metal fire pit with old stone columns for extra seating (unfortunately you can't see the actual fire-pit as behind the stone bench). Lots of stories and fun are had around it until deep into the night. If you have the space it is a great addition to put in! Shannon

Thank you, this would have been perfect had the fire pit tables width been around 90cm. We are ok with the table block access to the left hand door of the french doors as in the future we will be having sliders or bi-folds. Thinking about it more, we could have it on the right hand side of the patio instead although it will some what restrict access to the single door into the garden...
