Hi Emmeline, I have voted for 'London townhouse' purely because it a very uplifting and vibrant. I also really like the 'Battersea family home' entrance way too as it is really homely! I feel that is really does depend on what sort of look you are going for and what furniture you were hoping to place in the hall way though!

For some reason I had missed your update photos Angela. Your hall looks fantastic and the stained glass door is the icing on the cake! Bet it looks great form the inside as well... hint... :)

Hi Vicky, We've just done our bathroom with patterned floor tile and a white metro tile. I think if you do a coloured grout it stops it from looking too public toilet-ish - we chose a light grey. I think the cream tiles are not quite right for your bathroom, and the light grey ones look a little blue-toned which I'm not sure would work. I don't think you'd have a problem with white looking odd against the beige in your floor tile as it is quite dark and therefore enough of a contrast. I'll post a couple of pics of our bathroom - we painted the walls in a light grey too. P.s. the subway tiles we chose were XL (30cm) and also matte finish for easy cleaning.

I'm thinking of replacing our hall, orange, battered 1960's blocked parquet with coir mat infill with (thick) vinyl square tiles in a modern pattern. Has anyone got these in a hall? I'm concerned that dirt will gather round the edges of each tile. Has anyone got experience of this? I can't afford real encaustic Victorian tiles and the block parquet, even restored, wouldn't/doesn't look good as it is so old fashioned. If anyone has photos of the tiles in use, that would be great. Thanks for any help.
