Hi, I would really appreciate some advice on an additional cost from my builder. The foundations were dug down to 1 metre for my 5.5 x 4m extension but due to a neighbours tree, Building Control are asking for a further 1.1m to be dug, so the foundations are deeper. I have been quoted £2.5k for this extra depth to the foundations including the additional spoil removal, plant hire, labour for the excavation and concrete. Does this sound reasonable? I welcome your advice and many thanks in advance.
