I also prefer the bottom one. However would you consider a breakfast bar on the island? Also I am not sure about the need for the angled walls forming the bathrooms. Personally I think squared off would work better.

For the client... i need to house the boiler/pump/rcd unit in a cupboard somewhere and he wants all the floor space he can, plus i am trying to increase the light & vision that will be seen as one enters the hallway front the front door angle.
If I square off the wall it will enclose the hallway, eat floor space, reduce light to hallways & makes the boiler cupboard & ensuite too big.

I also have an upright piano to place, & i have made the entrance hall into an open library.
The island has space for 3 bar stools, plus the client likes to entertain... so I need the separate dining table.

I also prefer the last one, however how is bed 2 to be used ie occasional or full time and what size bed have you drawn? Could you change the shower door to be on the Lhs? You could then have a wall of mirror on the shower wall facing you as you walk in the front door with a slim console. I'd continue the bookshelves on the kitchen wall so it's L shaped. If you changed the dining table to round could you fit the piano on the angled wall? I also,preferred the sofa away from the wall with perhaps a console behind and it looks as if there's space for an accent chair facing the sofa
