Hello Newton81, You're not alone... There are few of us who can afford what we really want .. So.. Given that you understand that replica means just that.. You are getting more or less what you pay for.. things can still be made well but not carry the "name" but it's true... Some replicas or copies are not made that well.. So it's wise to look around.. The other thing to consider too is that things are often priced because of the "name" So.. It's good to really look carefully and think on exactly what it is you're spending for.... Useful chair or the name! (yes beauty and design..) Sometimes a copy is as good as the real thing.. and if it means having more in the pocket, then even better... Who said a rolex had to be real! It's cool 2 b a copy! : ) ) Clients come with all manner of ideals and budgets.. big and small.. So finding ways to achieve the look they want at the price the wallet can afford is something that has to be considered.. I have picked 2 with an addition of an armchair.. Yes Daisy they are not comfortable and we tend to be lounge dwellers lol but I do like a table when I have guests or sunday lunch around a table so nice for get together. I work with lots of young dogs and puppies and my last german shepherd (sadly now passed) had a thing about testing my new tables and chairs just nibbling them around the edges so this was a bit of a solution with metal finish to that issue as we had him for 15years!! lol. But to be honest has worked out extremely well especially for hot things. I have considered Having top recovered in solid surface as I like its shape and size and I do use it as a workstation too and bentwood chairs soooo love this style of iconic chair around a mismatched table and love natural woods thats why I kept the upper cabinets that are solid med.oak and beautifully made just replaced one or two facia panels on the wall units to tie in with my new base units in a matt sage/grey finish thats so easy to keep clean. Going to replace facia on plate rack on far wall next to link it in more sort of evolving this kitchen make over used a great replacement door company in Stoke. If I do replace whole lot table and chairs will then make a charming little set for the garden so I cant complain about this buy as purchased half price In late summer sale nice when things are useful. I do like the slightly industrial timber plank tables too with metal legs and rustic tops

The kitchen looks lovely. I like the table and it works well with the lights and I'd put the eames chairs with it or a mix of chairs (an old church chair is good for keeping kids colouring in stuff in but not sure of their age! ) What wood were you looking at? However having said that, your table is butt against the bar and the legs on this table are wider than the top so if you went for this one I think you'd need to go for a short table. As kikiamack said pedestal tables are good although hard to find a rectangular one (!) or as colourhappy said an old farmhouse one would work. Would an extending table also be an option? How many do you need to seat on a regular basis? Are the lights centred over the bench?
