We're with Valduff. Shades of purple and plum can really add depth to a chic scheme like yours. Particularly with your gorgeous counter top. Grey is also a good call, as it will coordinate with your kitchen units but allow room to add coloured accessories. It can depend on the light quality in your room- we always recommend grabbing some tester opts in a range of shades. Paint your walls or A4 sheets, and see what the colours look like as the light changes throughout the day.

Are you saying the glass splashback is the wrong size because it doesn’t go all the way up to the extractor fan? If so I’d guess that they’ve installed a standard size as opposed to a purpose made size. If so l would just take that one down and get a taller one made. You could always have the splashback all the way across the wall. l don’t think it needs tiles too. You could add a tint of colour with the emulsion,

Hi Adrian, thanks for the details - love the Caraz! Absolutely on trend colour, and a nice calm, sophisticated palette. Always amazes me just how much influence ambient light has, as the pictures show both to be even warmer in reality. With that info, I think I'd still be opting for white/off-white close to your worktop colour - on, if suitable, using the worktop material as a splashback, but you'd need to check with the manufacturer on suitability close to gas flame. Not all would be permissible. An alternative would be to go with whatever you have picked as flooring tile, if available in large enough size, then cut & edge to suit. Now that large format tiles are becoming so popular, we're finding clients opting for this more frequently, to add a bit more texture compared to flat, plain glass.

Just something to consider. This is only a digital render but try to consider the colour and warmth or coolness of the upper cupboards against the colour and warmth or coolness of the worktop. If one reads a warmer than the other and they are equal in terms of lightness then they might clash. Cool worktops and off white warm tiles or cupboards are tricky. Additionally, any under counter lighting - get the best you can, with the highest CRI rating. LEDs vary greatly in light quality and temperature.
