Hi, I currently use Fusion 2020 in the office which has it's pros and cons but I was wondering what other people use and whether there was a reasonably priced alternative out there for doing stuff at home. I have trawled the websites but there's not a lot of pricing info. I was just wondering what other people had found that worked for them. Thanks.

Yes, preferably with 3d capabilities... If the software contained some generic units that could be modified, the option to export/print.. etc. I don't mind paying but the pro software is far too expensive.

I would recommend SketchUp all day long! A lot of the lesser software types don't have the same level of functionality and compatibility. Especially when you've been using them for a while - you end up becoming frustrated and outgrowing them. Gina, I'm about to launch an online SketchUp course to help Interior Design professionals create their own floor plans. You're welcome to complete my survey, if you're interested in this. Room Arranger works on the iPad (very well too) and the desktop. You can play with it for free, but if you want to save you designs to a file as opposed to screenshotting them, you need to pay. I’ve used it for my kitchen, my parents’ kitchen, my bedroom, and for the bathroom. I’ve found it reliable and the 3D function really allowed to to get an idea of the real world space—that allowed me to see, for example, that I had more space in the kitchen than it seemed based on 2D.
