I used non-slip on my leather sofa- the stuff you put on the floor to stop rugs sliding. It did help keep sofa blankets etc in place but I must confess a fabric sofa (which I now have) is much easier! Alternatively, could you get the back and seat cushions recovered or do it yourself if you have a sewing machine?

It's a really nice colour. You may need to go the next shade up as colours tend to be a couple of shades lighter on the exterior but it depends what you like. I'd get some testers. If you're painting directly on the wall you'll need to paint out some of the yellow with white otherwise it will distort the colour. Paint large samples using a min of 2 coats on each side of the house so you can see how it changes. I saw your comment on the other post earlier, I'm finally in the middle of having mine painted (3 years on!). I actually ended up going for F&B colours in the end but colour matched to Johnstones everywhere as it was just too dear other than for my front door which will be in LG.

With the flooring, how about slate effect porcelain flooring (grey)? With the splashback I think green always looks nice with cream, but that will depend on your wall colour. Shell like hexagonal tiles are rather beautiful too.

The walls are blue but one is almost entirely filled with a wardrobe, bookcases etc which are white, so is the ceiling. I think you’re right about keeping the window treatment quite simple because then we could always change the accent colour.
