I'm looking for a stove hood insert (it will be covered in wood & painted to match cabinets) that won't stick out too far into the room. I want the finished look to disappear as much as possible. Any suggestions?
We could recommend the Futuro Futuro "Insert/Liner" series, which is available in 3 sizes, with a choice of perimeter & baffle filters.
The "Insert/Liner" is a complete range hood without the outer shell, designed to be installed inside a cabinet or custom wood/stone hood. It includes a powerful 940-CFM blower, dishwasher-safe filters, LED or halogen lights (depending on model), and a wireless remote for the ultimate convenience.
The "Insert/Liner" series hoods are only 10" deep (12" including the stainless-steel liner panel), so they can be completely hidden inside cabinetry.
Please visit the product pages on our website to see the complete specifications, prices, stock status, multiple photos, and much more:
You could match the width of the cabinet to the width of the stove, and recess the Insert/Liner into the cabinet, with an angled filler panel to complete the space between the hood and the cabinet walls.
Alternately, if your kitchen layout allows it, you could use the 42" Insert/Liner inside a 42" - 44" wide cabinet.
