If you are doing Hague in one room then that's great you can have the rooms tie in with the door choice, the colour or the skirting etc and of course by the style. The other rooms sound neutral so it will be great to have that pop of colour. We recently recommended the Hague blue to a client - picture attached - in the north facing guest bedroom too. You can really afford to do something stunning. The rest of this clients house is whites and grey so the blue tied in nicely. We picked it out of the kitchen units where we have gone for Como Blue. If you want to lighten the blue room then use crisp white linen and touches like the skirting boards with adding plenty of texture and visual interest in soft furnishings. I look forward to seeing the finished room.

Thanks Colour Happy. Plasterer has been in already but only plastered where needed so I'm assuming that means we don't need to plaster behind wall paper (some of which had to be removed for the rewiring) and Painter seems happy enough to do remainder of filling/smoothing walls but thanks for the tip, I'll definitely check again with them. Re sisal, no dogs but small kids at home so need to stick to softer/more standard carpet!

Another suggestion is Dulux Egyptian Cotton. I had it in my bedroom and it does have slight pink undertones so maybe worth getting a sample pot. It is quite similar to Skimming Stone. I suggest you paint your samples onto A4 cards and try them on different walls in the room stuck with some blue tack. I was advised to do this and it really helps. It works better than lots of paint samples on a wall which can be confusing. Purbeck Stone is a lovely taupe. This is Egyptian Cotton.

I like the colour of your dining room as it appears in the 2nd photo. I would look for a pale’ish version of a dried plaster. craig and Rose do one called dried plaster which may be worth testing I’d also add a large mirror in the dining room to try and bounce some light
