This basin and washstand would fit perfectly into our new shower room, from both a size and style point of view. However I have no experience of a basin made of stone. Will it mark, chip or stain easily?

The only way to repair that is for a stone mason ( possibly someone that works with stone kitchen tops too ) to re-hone & polish it. It would almost certainly be cheaper to purchase a new basin and fit it. Try here they have a large selection:- Living Roc
