Please help with kitchen colours!
Comments (20)If its a dark room then reflective surfaces will help .. but maybe step back and look at the style before you introduce colour? The detail on the doors make it a bit dated for an ultra modern look, but a vivid color would change things up, where pastels and neutrals may feel a bit samey ! The granite top will cool anything down ... my suggestion is change the flooring and get the doors spray painted Red!...See Morehelp with kitchen colour choices
Comments (23)I think your kitchen looks timeless, but the idea of dark handles to match the chair legs would pull it together and the Roman blind idea is also better. The cabinets could be painted, but it’s important to have an excellent job done, otherwise it could easily be a bad decision. I’d want to have my bin in a cupboard too. The idea of a bigger glass door would be great, if you aren’t going to extend in the future, otherwise not worth the expense. It might be good to have a cheerful cloth on the table, that echoes the Roman blind and possibly a rug under it, which would zone the area, but it seems a “busy” view into the hall, would it be possible to have milky glass doors to keep the two areas out of view from each other, without loosing light? The paint colours on the walls could be changed to zone the dining area from the working area too and more pictures/hanging plates always cheer up bare walls, but that’s just my views, whatever you do, it’s your home, nota show house and you’ve got to live in it, so whatever you choose, will be right for you....See MoreKitchen colour inspiration needed
Comments (3)I think the mixed tiling is just too busy and will create clutter. By all means have a Moroccan tile if you wish but something less hectic would be better. The orange walls will just create too much drama and make the room even darker. If you want orange then tone it right down to a peachy pink. It will still be Mediterranean but not so in your face. However, once you add morrocan tiles you won’t need to paint the walls unless they need doing. The first pic is Zelig tiles which have a lovely pearlescent handmade finish. Comments (25)Hi I have Gemini Worktops Siena Gold worktops in my kitchen. I would describe the colour as "winter white" with a very subtle muted gold vein (not sparkly). They are not cream, they are white but they are a warm white not an icy/"blue" /cold white. I've attached a photo of a sample against the floor tiles and a sample of kitchen door. I also have a tiled floor covering approx 70 metres2. The grout is an off white but a note of caution with a light coloured grout, and that is that they do take some effort to maintain the colour, not so much in the lounge and other rooms but in the kitchen. I apply grout sealer which seems to help but a steam mop is a no no....See More- 9 years ago
