im on the fence with this one as i like both, if the faux are good faux, but i get loads of free real flowers in the spring and summer as i end up with loads from the garden which would end up expensive if had to buy them every month, but i enjoy my faux when i can not get nice free fresh ones, so i would go for both

Same as others I love different flowers and plants, but have to mention my irises. I love them for deep purple colour, chocolatey-vanilla fragrance, velvet petals of their enormous heads (bigger than palms of my hands), height and juiciness of their chunky stems and pointy leaves. And they bloom at the end of may - start of June which is a lovely time of the year, already lush and warm and summer is still ahead :)

Most perennial flowers die back in winter, bursting back into growth in spring and summer. I would suggest small evergreen shrubs which flower in spring and summer but keeps its leaves during winter. Looks a nice sunny spot so I would suggest Cistus which has pink or white flowers right now. Another good small evergreen in Hebe which forms a neat mount with purple or white flowers in summer, there are many, many varieties. You could also add a ground cover shrub rose which although not fully evergreen they flower all summer long and are not tall. The first picture is my shrub rose called Laura Ashley (there are many varieties), the second is my Cistus and the third pic is a Hebe. All they ask is a good watering daily, unless it’s raining, to get their roots established, and a handful of growmore or any other feed, in the spring. Once they are established then they won’t need much watering.

Hey! I’m the first time owner of an Orchid, after it was gifted to me. I don’t know which variety it is, but the new flower heads are COMPLETELY different to when i got it (before and after photos attatched) the fuller, bigger petals are the before, the skinny, thin petals are the after. No bugs or anything like that eating them, they come out like this! does anyone know what this is? thanks!
