Choosing curtains .... Help?!?
Comments (2)I think you're going to have to go Navy to match the sofa. Then you could try and get some co-ordinating cushions based on Navy and Cream to match the walls and curtains. Keep the red ones to go with the painting, which needs moving so that it's central to the sofa. Alternatively, if you can bear to part with the painting, get rid of the red completely, and then go with Navy and cream and put a large mirror over the sofa, maybe get a nice textured cream throw?...See MoreHelp with cosy interior design and colour please!
Comments (3)Hi I like the colour of the sofa and armchair. ITo make it look more stylish and cosy I would perhaps do the following Get curtains that match your sofa - Dunhelm Mill have some from £30 http://www.dunelm.com/product/grey-solar-blackout-eyelet-curtains-1000058807 Move the footstall/box by your French doors - do you need it in this room? Remove the red rug - carpet on carpet isn't (in my opinion) a good look buy some more cushions for the sofa/armchair with different (natural if possible) textures - this will soften the look (if keeping the red wall by cushions with red/grey tones, or plain red with other cushions that have some grey) Tesco direct have some from £10 https://www.tesco.com/direct/tesco-textured-pleat-grey-cushion/716-7449.prd?skuId=716-7449 Drape a throw over your sofa - in muted tones, again you can get them from ebay (this one is £40) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TWEEDMILL-TEXTILES-SILVER-GREY-FISHBONE-BRITISH-100-PURE-WOOL-BLANKET-THROWRUG-/361980469329 or the Sectret Linen store https://www.secretlinenstore.com/bed-accessories/bedspreads-and-throws/ Paint the surround on both mirrors - maybe a metallic paint to reduce the wood clash styles Add plants that give off a floral scent - roses, peonies etc as this will give a calming and relaxing/cosy tone put away all the things that you don't need out in nice storage boxes - store these under your TV? Look forward to seeing the finished look. Good luck. Shannon...See MoreWhat colour curtains for living room with teal sofas
Comments (6)We’d definitely recommend plains, patterns come in and out of fashion, whereas colour is timeless. Choosing a plains with a great texture also adds some sophistication. I’d go for oranges and yellows, they’ll really compliment the teal. Here’s a mood board we put together for a customer last week working with yellows Fabric-wise I’d recommend something with structure, wool based fabrics are really coming back in. They’re soft but durable, don’t wear or fade and hang beautifully like a bespoke suit. happy to chat more best Will...See MoreWindow dressing trends for 2019?
Comments (6)My wife has decided to use a mixture of blinds and sheer curtains for her dressing room/office and our bedroom. I think that the spare room will very soon be changed to this as well. As you can see from the pictures below you can't actually close the sheers as they're just there to 'look pretty' but the blinds behind are usable. The pictures are a bit dark as they were taken with my phone, but they surprisingly don't stop any of the light, it just makes it slightly harder to look in (these are upstairs, so when a double decker bus comes past its of the same height. I'll admit that I wasn't instantly taken by them, but between you and me, I actually really like them. Her office/dressing room - excuse the boxes she'd just taken in a delivery Our Bedroom (double windows) Our bedroom (single window) Closer up of a single window...See More- 9 years ago
