agree with comment above - call Cosentino and they can direct you either to a local kitchen showroom with worktop installed in a colour you are considering or they can tell you where you can view the slabs. i live in Ireland and visited the Cosentino warehouse in Dublin to view slabs - it certainly affected our decision making. we went for lagoon and its great - no problem with staining

I recognise the phrase ' you've always imagined'. Lots of times I have had in my mind something such as Fired Earth Tiles, herringbone parquet, teak worktops etc etc and then you wake up and realise you are on a budget - like most people! I have to say, I am constantly surprised at the cost and range of materials out there so don't feel short changed if you don't choose your initial idea. I wanted handmade Emerie and Cie Moroccan tiles in my kitchen, but that was before I costed them and needed to sit down. I ended up with Green Quartzite and they were a seventh of the cost and they look fantastic. My hall is tiled and we don't have underfloor heating, but we do all wear cork soled slippers (:

I think that you have made some nice choices. I would team these with a dark grout and would look at charcoal, chocolate and terracotta and see which one you like. If is true that this texture of tile could trap soap but if you use a steam mop on your floors you can also use it on your wall tiles. I don't think that the wood grain tiles will date any more than any other tile. Lastly I wouldn't paint the walls a light colour as I think it is easier to get light in with pale accessories and an enormous mirror.

Hello Melissa. We get asked this all the time! Each piece of marble is so unique, with beautiful veining, which simply cannot be copied when it comes to a composite. However, Silestone 'Lagoon' & Caesarstone 'London Grey' tend to be P&P clients favourites. Another design trick to get some of real marble into your kitchen is to use a Simple white or grey composite with a lovely real marble splash back... I would only recommend this behind a sink though.
