Hi bebelou. Have you purchased the bifold doors already? Centor Integrated Doors have the shades (blinds) built into the door frame rather then the panel. They retract completely out of sight when not in use, giving you clear views out to your garden.

So you’d have to walk through the guest bedroom (No 5) to get to your planned position number 6? Then the dog would have to walk through it too? If I’m understanding the plan that’s your thoughts? Then if you want the freezer you have to walk from the kitchen, along the corridor, through the bedroom to a new utility? If so it’s a definite no from me. You need To fit it closer to the kitchen. You don’t give sizes but is there space within the dining room area?

@OnePlan (Concept planners) thanks for your feedback, and @Ellie too. The wall in the middle is indeed an eye sore. But it is too expensive to take it out now - have we had the 'I' beam just 1.5 meters longer where the other door way had been opened. So if there is a way to infuse this way as a 'gentle introduction' to the open plan kitchen. I like the idea of a wall of living plants! or a massive painting that will be complimented by another similar genre+size of painting in the open lounge. There are a few good points Oneplan made regarding arrangements and space I think I ticked the boxes of some 'kitchen triangle principles' Only that I am not sure about the passage (0.7m) between island and bi-fold door. It is a narrow passage and would be used infrequent I think. What shall I do about it? Hanging a wall unit seemed make it impassable?
