i live in scotland too like JML garden room & tiredoldwoman. love mine. it's purple & velvety fuzzy like embzop's. you can stick in the washing machine & it takes no time to dry outdoors or in. i also have a light cotton kimono style house coat for in the summer. as i sleep in the buff it's nice to just shove that on when i get up & am wandering down to get breakfast. ps. i put it on after my shower but i dry myself with a towel beforehand.

Please can anyone suggest the best method to deep clean, what I think, are porcelain floor tiles? They have a textured finish and ad we live beside a beach, dirt, dust and sand easily lodge and make the tiles look constantly grubby and generally filthy. I have tried conventional mops, scrubbing on my hands and knees which isn't ideal! Any suggestions, recommendations greatly appreciated!

Our house is very cosy. I love coming inside after shutting the hens away at night, locking the doors and feeling warm and cocooned tucked away from the outside world. When I go outside in the evening I often hear owls hooting to each other which is just magical.
