Kitchen Re-design
I am tired of the traditional brown coloured doors in my kitchen. Looks so dated. I would like to paint them in a different colour. The floor in the kitchen is cream tiles. The surfaces are also cream colour. The kitchen is fairly large with a breakfast bar in the middle. The walls are white and the horizontal blinds are light cream. What colour do you advise I should paint the doors. Thank you for your help

Comments (8)If you love having the table in front of the window you could have a fitted window seat for one side of the table and chairs on the other. I would create an L shape kitchen to include units on the top wall so go round the corner from the cooker - put the fridge/freezer here. I would then have a floor to ceiling unit on the wall where your fridge currently is for all your storage. Comments (12)Hi kirsty. Do you need the 3 beds and an extra ensuite? The cost of moving the soil pipe to the other end of the house may be pretty expensive. I also think if you put an ensuite in you probably need a sink otherwise you'll still need to use the bathroom (you may also need to by law but am just guessing on that!) personally i would also arrange the living area to include a round table to seat at least 4. Maybe you could squeeze an "en suite" adjacent to the bathroom if you take some of the storage space too?. You will be left with a long narrow corridor but should be cheaper. You could also extend out next to the bathroom but then need to get light into that bedroom. Or using plan c extend out a little above the loo to include a sink. Comments (5)I do feel that sometimes, that a lot of "designers" attached to/associated with retailers don't necessarily listen and understand the needs or wants of the buyer, but are more about just fitting their product in the space - often irrespective if it's the best use of that space or the most pragmatic solution. Comments (10)Yes, your design is lovely indeed! 1. isn't an island but has a whole lot of countertop space, which might come in handy for preparing large family dinners with multiple people. 2. true, the distance is the 'price' for the larger island i guess, besides i like the connection with both dining and lounge without the column blocking the view. 3. both have about 5m countertops, pulling the island somewhat towards the storage would provide more space for stools....See More

Green is especially good
And of course any cream as long as it doesn't clash with what's already there
It would be easier to take the photo in natural light during the day.
Basically any colour as long as it has warm under tones, so no cold colours.
In fact, the light under the counter in your pic almost has a pinky / mauve look about it. How about an ultra trendy Mulberry??
