Help! What accessories should I add?

Hi,
My partner and I have just decorated our master bedroom. I love everything in it, but it now needs some accessories. We are planning to change the bed when money allows. I really want a roll top and bottom bed. We are also going to have all white bedding, possibly with some accent pillows.

I love colour (although you might not be able to tell from the photographs haha). My partner and I really want a minimalist style. The wallpaper is grey and silver but it has a purplish tone to it.
We also need bedside tables.
Any ideas would be really appreciated.

Hello Kate,

If you like colour but also want minimalist, then go for a block color in your bedside tables. I would suggest an indigo or very dark blue against your silvery wallpaper and future white bedding...see attached pics.

Then simple gold and silver accessories.

A large mirror.

Do you want some art in the room?

I must admit I am scratching my head a bit on this one - the two slightly different shades of cream don't make it easy! If everything wasn't split new, I think I would be recommending changing the tiles. I'm not a fan of painting tiles either, but I am really at a loss as to what to suggest. A teal perhaps or verdigris, but I think whatever colour you pick, the tile/cabinet combination may still feel a little unbalanced. Might be worth thinking what you can do to mask the tiles with nicely coloured appliances, possibly an accessory rail, fruit bowl, plants/herbs etc.

I’m no colour expert, but I feel a stair carpet like your first pic is very neutral and won’t clash. Ive seen rooms that mix cream, grey and beige and they just look lovely. The dark staircase will add another dimension but still quite neutral. Your staircase is so beautiful it really doesn’t need too much of a change, Skimming Stone is a lovely grey/beige. I would get match pots of the colours you like, paint them on A4, or larger, card and try them in various places and see what you think, paint colours can really change depending on aspect and light. If you can get some carpet samples too you can create a mood board so you can really get an idea of the look. The pics below show how lovely grey, beige and black/grey/brown can look together. If you keep it as a master bedroom I would definitely go for walk in wardrobe- we have a very similar situation in our room but even though we haven’t gained wardrobe space everyone that has a nosey thinks it’s amazing! We also didn’t put a door on the en-suite that leads off the walk in wardrobe so we could gain some natural light and it works really well keeps it all feeling more spacious than perhaps it actually is.

I would add metallics to the room in some form- see your wall paper source photo eg mirror, lamps, central pendant, - the wall paper needs this to bring out its beauty.

Not sure if headboard is new, but large upholstered headboard could look nice (See Misha M picture 1).

Also bedside lockers - either dark (Lacquer black?) or light but make sure they are not the same shade as wall paper or carpet.

I would also add plain bed covers - I think it will work better with the wall paper.
