I currently have single glazed UPVC windows in a property i just purchased - the frames are in good condition just need a clean but wondered is there any beading which i can purchase from anywhere as i want to change the glass to double glazed. All the glazing companies are saying they could change it but would need the correct beading for the window.

so far my renovation cost is at a max of 30k and spending 3400 on all new windows will stretch my budget...otherwise just change to a new front door, fit the rear sliding doors to the garden and a window upstairs for the new bathroom - this will cost 2150.

speaking to my local agent i asked her if changing the windows to double will add value she was like no as the windows probably won't get noticed as they are plastic pvc frames and most people wouldn't suspect them being single glaze....really confused.com
