The furniture was sanded down first to remove the varnish. Once the surface was clean and free of dust a primer was used to give a good base coat. We used Farrow & Ball Estate Eggshell for the top coat, but you can use any good quality acrylic paint. No it was not sprayed, it was all done with a brush. I do have furniture sprayed when l want a more modern finish but that was not the look we wanted here. Hope this is helpful to you.

In my opinion you should be pushing the designer to do a better job. The washer and dishwasher weren’t shown in the first render- they are now there but the drawer lines are interrupted which doesn’t look great. I also think you need to consider ducting the extractor - if you are in the U.K. building regs will demand it. If so where does the ducting go? Is there indeed enough room for the motor in the slim wall cabinets drawn? Personally I think that the high windows limit your options and don’t add anything to the design. I think the drawn shelf unit is a different material and this likely affects your opinion. I like the vertical handle rail with the ovens- perhaps it should be applied to all the units otherwise how are you going to open the tall unit to the right of the oven? Lastly I like the deep orange, I think it sits best with the dark wood or black but you shouldn’t add too many materials- simple is better.
