A warm beige would compliment, perhaps with some texture in a self patterned fabric. Keep it neutral to let the sofas 'pop'.

Hi All, at long last I got around to uploading the picture of the floor, rug, curtains and wallpaper, the curtains have a more silver tone to them that picks up the silver flecks in the wallpaper. I think I am leaning towards a light pink paint (Georgian Mist) , there is a light pink in the middle of the flowers similar to this. I love the idea of the black lamp to tie in with the black bed. What colour should the window sills and surrounds be, they are wood also what colour accessories, photo frames, pictures etc. I love the light pink chair and bedding but was wondering what ceiling lamp would go best, I'm having difficulty sourcing wicker one locally. Thank you Sonia and Rachel! Sonia, those pictures are really helpful. I love the idea of velvet for the curtains, it makes a plain colour a bit more interesting. Thank you! Rachel, yes we wanted something really bold on one wall. It's quite a small area because we have a fairly low picture rail, and the bed will cover some of it. We're having two white floor-to-ceiling fitted wardrobes opposite, either side of a chimney breast, and we'll paint the walls a soft colour to match a shade in the paper. It's just this big bay window I'm not sure about - basically one whole wall is window and curtains (it's a typical master bedroom in a 1930s 3 bed semi). Plain seems boring but pattern will be difficult with the wallpaper...
