Laminate over tiles
Comments (1)Hello, My parents decided to tile hallway, dining and kitchen area and few years on my mum got tired of it and they laminated the entire floor. The tiles weren't taken up and few years on it still looks amazing, of course my mum maintains it well. Shouldn't be a problem laminating directly on the tiles in your home....See MoreTILES vs Laminate vs LVT - Underfloor heating with Heat Pump
Comments (9)your floor choice will work great :) i have ufh in new build with air source heatpump and 21mm thick engineered wood floor (probably only carpet and solid wood would be considered less effective) and it is great, id make same choice again. i have ceramic tiles in 2 bathrooms and it definitely conducts heat better, lovely and warm underfoot when heating is running but as others have said its cooler the rest of the time. the remainder of the house just has a lovely even heat. its also very cost effective,i pay same in 4 bed, 2 bath house as i did in a previous 2 bed house (which was also new build but storage heaters). please forgive the lack of punctuation and poor sentences, this is my third attemp at posting a reply and ive lost patience writing the same thing!...See MoreHelp with laminate stairs and landing...
Comments (4)Hi Adam, Yes stairs can look great without carpet. You have to add non slip pads to the end of the step to prevent slipping. They are transparent so quite discreet. Stairs without carpet can also be considerably noisier than carpeted ones, so if you have kids and they wear shoes indoors you might want to think about insulating under the stairs to help absorb the sound....See MoreHelp decide on colour for laminate fitted wardrobes
Comments (3)Hello Karina, I see what you mean. It depends on the feel you want for your bedroom. Do you want a pop of colour ? By the picture in the room it looks like you do not mind this. If yes you can cover them with wallpaper. Get an Acrylic/ perspex mirror. Or attach coloured perspex. Or just completely change the doors to a colour. Using colours from your picture, headboard or ottoman. Pastel colours for calm, brights for a wow or for exotic look golds, metallics, which will go with your other picture. If you have space move the ottoman to the foot of the bed and then make that recess area into a snug seating area with a comfy chair small table to put a drink on and a plant which will change the look and could guide you more. Mmm! The more I look at it could be that area just needs to be covered so that same doors that will give it an more complete cohesive look. Then paint it a gloss, rather than a matt. Laminate painting can be a mare so you could check out your local garage that spray paints cars and they could spray paint the doors evenly. Or buy a spray gun and do it yourself. Then it would like a more of a built in. I think more personal objects will guide you too. If we can see the other blue gold picture it will give us more of an Idea to work on. Blue gold yellow and teal sound exotic, so a feature wall in those exotic colours will take your eye away from the built ins. Or maybe then put the same wall paper with the comfy chair in the recess.... Have fun....See MorePearlosa
