I could use some backsplash help!
Cabinets are being delivered Friday, need to start finalizing my backsplash decision. A little about this project. It's a room addition, the kitchen is a main part and it flows to a great room (sort of, it's not that big, but connects to the room where the fireplace stone will be visible). The wood on the floor in the picture is my hickory wood flooring. The big stones in the picture are my fireplace stone. The other random stone boards, etc., are backsplash ideas. The granite is also shown (Juparana Classico Supreme), as is the color or my kitchen cabinets (quarter sawn oak in ginger spice). I have a copper low divide sink and oil rubbed bronze fixtures, as well as oil rubbed bronze cabinet hardware. My appliances are black stainless. I do not have modern taste. I like rustic and craftsman, but not to the point of being too craftsman, if that makes sense.
Style #1. Those darker pieces are copper accents.
Style #2 and 3 (2 on top, 3 on the bottom).
Style #4 (thinner veneer, but in keeping with the style of #3).
Style #5 (sorry about the dad on the picture, sent that to one of my kids)

Comments (26)We're with Valduff. Shades of purple and plum can really add depth to a chic scheme like yours. Particularly with your gorgeous counter top. Grey is also a good call, as it will coordinate with your kitchen units but allow room to add coloured accessories. Farrow and Balls slipper satin is a beautiful colour and would look lovely with grey units, perhaps shaded white. Little Greene Paint company also do lovely shades of grey. Perhaps Grouse on the walls and French Grey for the cupboards. A lighter floor and glass splash backs would also help to reflect the light and make it brighter. Comments (3)Hi, its a really nice space I know you mentioned you like the country style, you could incoporporate some wooden paneling similar to the image below for your wall and backsplash as it give a rustic vibe. Alternativly sage green tiles would lokk really nice and still keep the space feeling bright. I think a sage green would work really well with your white units and soften the black cooker (Ive added an image below). It would also work with either the grey floor you currently have or the beige travestine tiles if you did decide to continue them from your hallway. You could then add some sage accents like a clock, lights etc to bring the scheme together (taking inspiration from the below image.) And adding a plant maybe a Fern in a rustic pot will bring the country vibe into your space. Hey guys, I’m back!! It has been a couple of years, but in that time, I’ve replaced the light over my table and covered my window. I revisited this thread again after seeing someone on a FB group post the same slate granite that I originally posted in this thread, so I decided to come back and update. I hope you guys are all doing well! I’m currently waiting on new carpet for my front living room. At some point, I think I’ll come back here and post a separate thread for that. Anyway, the lighting isn’t great in these photos, but here is my new shade and my new kitchen light! Ignore the buffet behind my kitchen table. That’s only there because we had to move all the big stuff out of my living room!

For reference, this is a photo taken from my front living room into my kitchen. @Beth H, you posted above these lights. I did a reverse image search and can’t find them. I’m still looking for one over my sink and this color hits me. Thoughts on if just one could be bought, and where these are from?

I hope you guys are all still on here and doing well! @Home Interiors with Ease, thanks for coming back to the thread and helping out! I looked up the pendant (in the photo), and it's rustic washed gold on the outside and black on the inside! I was sure this had copper on the inside. Glad I contacted the store and they were able to tell me. I'm going to look at some of those you sent, especially the copper/turquoise ones. I was thinking that my husband could get behind the one in the photo, that's why I went back to it first. The black on the inside is a no. I NEED light over that sink. It drives me CRAZY!

I definitely like that one! I have 51” in between cabinets for the pendant light. At this point, I think copper or some sort of turquoise would be cool. I’m working with tray over the island and then this new antique over the table now.

last yearHey hey! Because your cabinets already have a golden/orange tone i would choose a bit of a contrast . Instead of copper i would go with something darker lined in copper. This would pick up on the dark frame of the antique piece over your table while still giving you the glow of the copper accent. My pick, The Lumley by Currey & Co.

Okay, @Home Interiors with Ease, @Flo Mangan, @Beth H. :@pink_peony, @Nidnay, and anyone else who wants to join in. I'm at a crossroads. The pendant I had that guy make me on Etsy is stunning, but it's not big enough for the space. How do we feel about 2 or 3 pendant lights in between here? I have an approximately 40 inch side to side and approximately 30" deep space. My mind automatically goes to 3 because I like things in an odd number. But if I do that, I don't think 3-9.5 inch pendants are going to work, right? It will be too wide?
