you could get a large plain rug to hide most of the pattern, then picking out one or two of the colours in the carpet, you could match pillows and a few accessories around the room to bring the whole look together. If you keep the accessories plain but bold that would be modern.

We already have two big windows in the room so now just looking for some artwork to complement the mural. My husband found some great tealight holders that really work with the theme - two pine cones and the faux antler. I've also added brown and amber pebbles to my glass candle bowls which catch the light in a pretty way, and I've got a great new little light feature in the corner - long twigs with fairy lights that look great at bedtime!

I agree with previous comment. It looks OK to me but I'm not seeing it in the flesh! Once you get furniture and accessories in it will look very different. If yr still not happy buy a large rug to break it up. Don't be too disheartened.

I think the sheen in this carpet will reflect what ever wall colour you choose and help them work together- but on this thread there doesn’t seem to be much love for your colour choice. For me the Teresa Green feels cool and fresh and the carpet feels warmer and richer. Personally with this carpet I would be considering Old White, Strong White, Blackened, Borrowed Light, Light Blue and strong colours such as Tanners Brown or Downpipe.
