Furniture Design Dilemma Living Rooms

Corner TV unit advice

Hi there

Had anyone had any success in finding a good corner TV unit. Look for more traditional or retro rather than country/shaker or modern style. Preference would be white.

Please share any good options, bespoke, shop bought or advice!

I had my TV on this in the corner of a room, I now use it as a coffee table. Obviously it's not triangular, but it looked really good across a corner. I couldn't find anything else as nice.

Hi,

It's tough finding the right TV unit, perhaps you can go for a[wooden style[(https://www.houzz.co.uk/products/julia-corner-tv-unit-prvw-vr~91115760), or a little bit of [colour[(https://www.houzz.co.uk/products/devon-corner-tv-unit-prvw-vr~117884652) like these ones. They would probably fit the best in a traditional style living room.

I agree that the TV unit takes up too much space. I'm not sure it would work with the wallpaper though. I think that the pattern would be very distracting and may create confusion to the eye. Is there anywhere else you could put it? How about in a recess to one side of the fireplace?

I think I'd put the T.V in corner A. It's the one least likely to get glare from the Windows. If your Sofa is along the line B /C ( don't know where the door is ), Then you will not be to close to the T.V. If the Sofa is in the middle then at a rough guess you're going to be well over 10-12 Feet away from corner A.............

Thank you very much for this, just the advice I needed - great suggestion about the plant and your point about white helping to reduce the cluttered feeling, this area will be mostly white apart from the anthracite radiator 😬 maybe we should have gone white but never mind! I might draw out the unit in a central position and to see if the chair will stick out too much. Thank you again 🙌 😊

We really like getting TVs off furniture and onto the wall - this free's up some valuable real-estate on top of the furniture - or even better, remove the furniture all-together.
