We have recently painted our lounge and kitchen, lounge is valspar arctic fox (hint of pink)and kitchen is valspar swan queen (hint of green).
Problem is the kitchen side of the house always has and still seems to be too dark and almost feels dingy because of it, unless we have the lights on 24/7.
Do you think painting the kitchen the same colour as the lounge will brighten it up, or should we look at painting the kitchen cupboards to help?
I’m also wanting to paint the hallway area as its still magnolia and seems dark too- i want it painting the same colour as the lounge (arctic fox) as we will be installing parquet flooring soon and i want a sense of continuity throughout downstairs.
Do you think having the same colour for both lounge and hallway will look okay?
Any suggestions from yourselves with colours would be great as anything light and airy to make downstairs feel as big as possible
Also you can see the brightness difference in the last 2 pics (we do have a patio door in lounge which helps)
