Garden Light Installation Steps

Hi experts,

I am doing my garden from scratch. I would like to install garden lighting and wanted to plan it before I start digging. Can anyone tell me a step by step process so that I don't miss any step.

Also if someone can share their list of products they have used in their garden for the below.

1. Transformer

2. LED bottom up lights on a tree

3. Floor lights for patio

4. Any other lights

I'd looked for glass too but without any success for off the shelf. There are a number of bespoke makers so may be worth getting a quote just to see? a possible solution is to step onto a platform and then have steps down either side of the windows (drainpipe would need to be moved but should be a lot cheaper than bespoke stairs). It's difficult to tell without seeing the whole of the house but could be worth looking at. I'd sketch it out though to check it doesn't look odd!

Not sure if you have now sorted out your garden lighting yet I've only just come across your question! We agree with Litecraft as it does depend what you want to do with your space and as mentioned by GreenlinesDesign Ltd you can make use of lighting to highlight particular areas of interest in your garden. We are finding at the moment that garden spike lights and wall lights are proving to be popular sellers as now in particular seems to be the time of year when the weather has improved enough for people to start thinking about paying attention to their outdoor spaces. It doesn't just have to be a garden area though that you can light up as even if you just have a yard or patio space you can still make use of lighting to create an atmosphere for those alfresco dining times!
