Window colour help

Looking for a bit more advice. We have light oak upvc windows, inside and out.
I attempted to paint one of the windows white inside a couple of years ago and wasn't very happy with the result.
I am now thinking about getting them professionally sprayed.
I have a couple of questions if anyone has any experience?
Does going from brown to white make q huge difference?
Do you think my openers/casement will look strange as they are darker then the frames so there'll be 3 colours going on?
I've attached photos, the 2nd pic is the colour of the frame, they look darker according to light available.

Comments (16)I have to agree with Crafty Countess about having a vinyl flooring. I would recommend Loose Lay by Karndean. The range comes in wood plank and stone tile effects, does not have to be glued down except around the edges of the room and damaged "tiles" can be easily replaced. They are made for commercial use, so are very durable and will retain their looks for years to come. From our own tenants, I've found that white or off- white works best. You'll never get a colour right for a tenant. In the past, we've hung curtains, which our tenants always ask to take down and put up their own. We've painted lightly fresh or richly cozy feature walls, which our tenants have asked to paint over. So we always use a neutral paint now. We allow our tenants to hang pictures, providing they repair and paint the holes when they move out and use wall stickups that they can take with them. Comments (10)Thanks Jonathan. I’m not totally adverse to the yellow and perhaps your right less yellowish window might help crisp up. I like the warmth statement and blending with greenery that current colour has but it needs painting badly and so having moved in last year feel need to make a change and loose yellow. I suppose as it is tired and everything in the house is either yellow or green (avocado) and tired!!! Comments (6)I like grey if it has a greenish tinge. I’m pondering this dilemma too...our house is white rendor on the first floor. Our semidetached neighbours have just installed black windows which is too harsh for my liking....See More- 7 years ago

7 years agoYes! I have done exactly this! My windows were oak and I’ve went white inside, used kolourbond and they were fantastic for advice and their paint is fantastic too, I sprayed mine a year ago and I’ve had no issues at all, if doing yourself prep is the key, they need properly cleaned and you’d need a proper spray gun to spray them with as I needed to coat mine approx 7 times to kill all the brown!
I’m going to spray the outside of the house next year, dark grey or black, It’s a solvent based paint from the company which is more hard wearing.
The results are day and night tbh, the light in the rooms is amazing now, cheaper than changing and you hostly can’t tell the difference, only ting is you’ll need a small tin of touch up as any heavy scrapes will be through to the brown again and will need painted, it’s easy with a small artists brush and you’ll never see it as the paints a great match (as long as it’s the same as the paint used and well sealed and kept)
Just get a very reputable firm to do it as it could turn about a disaster if John Wayne and the crew turned up.
