Bay window poles

I have a big circular baby window which pole should i use. Before i fixed aluminium pole but the curtain got stuck always so changed to plstic ones and that is ripping always when kids open it... i wnt a blackout too so my drape is heavy.
any ideas please...

I bought a sturdy white metal rail from a local curtain shop for my bay window and it opens via a pulley system. I agree those cheap plastic rails are rubbish. The rail and installation cost £200 for a 12 foot rail, but it’s well worth the money.

I still think blinds at the bay window would look better, you can use a thick fabric and have a thick lining put in as well. I'm not so sure that hanging curtains from the crown detail would look right above the door.... I'd be more inclined to go from the picture rail height..... just personal opinion! Also, what colour are you thinking of doing the walls and are the window coverings likely to be heavy patterned or plainer textured fabric? Just thinking that if the walls were say a beige then a darker shade for the window coverings with a slight pattern or texture it would be less obvious that the windows were different heights, your eye wouldn't be drawn to it so much as a heavy pattern.

You could put up blinds and finish the side windows with decorative curtains to give some pattern and softness to the window. Sukiharrison and Odd job Hadyman, Thank you very much for your comments :) We actually intended to have the sofa on the opposite wall and built in cabinets and shelves exactly like you've suggested but I absolutely loved this big L shape sofa so desided to have it as it is now. There is no problem to move one part of the sofa to the opposite wall and the other to the wall against the window, but for now this is more convenient lay out. The shelves have to wait for now but I imagine them in white. After hearing a few suggestions about the secondary light by the window I will probably listen to the pros and remove it In favour of a floor or table lamp. No curtains.. For now :) I have a big thing about dust and would like this house to be as easy to clean as possible and generally don't like curtails Over radiators. Thou I understand this will affect the appearance I'd like to keep it simple.

We can offer made to measure Bay window curtain poles. It looks like you could easily use ceiling brackets but custom brackets are possible and it could offer returns into the room allowing a wonderful curtain that doesn't then have to be floor length.
