Lou, from personal experience, the best paints for halls are those made for bathrooms and kitchens, as they are harder to scratch and wipe-able :)) Or that Diamond Tough from Dulux; you can also wash the walls painted in it - best even, buy the Trade Diamond. Our kitchen is painted in Dulux Pacific Breeze but nobody can tell, they think is white until they look at where the wall meets the ceiling.
