I'm not a professional, but I don't think you need spotlights in the living room. As long as you have a ceiling light, and enough sockets around the room to plug in floor and table lamps, you'll be fine. Same goes for entrance hall, really. I think one ceiling light in the main entrance hall and perhaps two in the narrower section will be enough. You could have (LED) lighting strips in the wardrobe to give you enough light to see which coat you're grabbing :-) Two ceiling lights in the loo seems a bit much, one could be enough too. Are those rooflights above the kitchen? If you're going for upper cabinets, I'd have under cabinet lighting. If not, wall lights will be necessary (and lovely). I think they've been drawn in the scheme? I'd keep the recessed spotlights in the utility, playroom and the lighting points (for pendants?) above the dining table and island. Although one will probably be enough, above the dining table. Unless you go for recessed lights above the dining table too, then I'd have two or three. Have them on dimmer switches, which means you'll need dimmable spotlights.

Yes I’m going to get a sample of the one she suggested to try out as the radiator won’t be fixed on that dining room wall for a good while so not been in a massive rush. I had an amazing pic from a magazine of the look I wanted but can’t find it now. It’s from a bar but was OTT really. The OH just won’t spend out on any fancy things anymore. He says everything I want making now will be out of pallets! LMAO
