Don't forget that you can get a remote control repeater meaning that you can put the Sky box or DVD player behind a solid door. Try a google search for Magic eye.

Thank you. My space is a little restricted (under the pitched roof) so thinking to opt for small rectangular unit. I appreciate it's difficult without a photo but currently space under the TV serves as storage so not doing it any favour! Did you manage to run all cables through the cable organiser? Your space looks nice!

Hi Aamira, Lucky you to have that beautiful media unit! Such a lovely focal point of the room and really gives you a good basis to work around. Without knowing dimensions of the room or seeing the floorplan it’s a bit more tricky but I took a guess at where the door was and knocked up this quick layout for you. If it were me, this is what I would be aiming for! A large corner sofa, places against the wall with a large rug underneath and a coffee table on top. A floor lamp or large indoor plant in the recess next to the media unit. Depending on how much space is left at this end of the room, perhaps a little reading book with an armchair and sideboard or book case and lamp would look nice. Let me know what you think! Dani x

It all looks great - practical, nicely & simply finished with a nice handle. BUT (and I hate to raise it, but it is a big but for me) - the section to the left of the TV looks to me as though they got the door sizes wrong. I would expect the bottom edge of the doors & panels to be perfectly in line with the bottom of the drawers and units to the right. I cannot for the life of me understand why these are different. It throws out the plinth line and the line of the door "stiles". If it were me, I'd be getting the contractor to replace these at their cost, unless there is an extremely good reason for this. How was in in the original design? Sorry to raise this, but it just seems awry!
