Hi Alan, we used the same doors from for our little study. After the decorator had painted them & we removed the protective film from the glass we saw that the paint had bled into the inner frame. Unfortunately there is no way to remove the glass to paint the inner frame so that section will always remain untreated & ours looks worse because of the paint bleeding. Such a shame because from afar the doors look great....just don’t inspect them too closely! When we queried it with the decorator he said the film was there to protect painting errors whereas the big shed said it was there solely to protect the glass & that the decorator had used too much paint on the brush. Argh....

Sliders all the way. My sister has had them installed in her kitchen - 3 panes filling the whole of the back of the house and it looks amazing. She has gone for a very modern country look so clean lines, shaker doors, very light and airy. Here’s a view with one door slid open, please excuse the garden as that’s next on the list once lockdown over!

If you want wooden doors don't let the builders persuade you otherwise. There is no reason why wooden doors can't last as long as you invest in quality doors and maintain them as required. We recommend using a timber called Accoya, which comes with a 50 year anti-rot guarantee and is extremely durable and highly stable, meaning that it doesn't require as much maintenance as other timbers.
