Thank you, great idea to have an actual corner unit rather than one on a slant. The one attached unfortunately doesn't have enough height to house both pc's.

That T.V is pretty big for the size of the room.............however, if you were to build a corner cabinet then it would look a lot tidier. I'm not sure you're going to be able to buy one 'off the shelf' and may have to have someone make one in specific sizes to house everything.

Yes interesting corner units MATH, but surely for comfortable viewing the TV will be too high (in both).

Think it’s more dependant on the distance away the seating is, pet hate is them above the fireplace, always maintained that was too high unless your living room is about 10m long

Your tv unit is just too small for the tv. Here’s mine which has storage as well as room for recording box etc. If you got a wider one I’ve no idea where those huge speakers can go!

To be fair, the speakers aren’t that big, it’s the stands that make them look tall.

Would your husband be ok with them standing on a (wide) TV cabinet either side of the TV?

Another thing is the storage. I would put the computers somewhere else (if they are in a cupboard, it means they are not used often) and use the storage under the TV for things that you need more regularly.
You can even do something like on the pic attached,mount the TV on the wall and switch the sofas so that the 3 seater is facing the TV and the fireplace. TV to be mounted on the wall with a bracket so you can tilt it diagonally if needed. Also on this video you can see what’s she’s done (tried to look just for the pic but couldn’t find it)

Hi Veronika. Tv stand needs to be wider than the tv otherwise I think it looks off balance, like the tv is about to fall off:-). With regards to speakers I pretty sure they could be taken off the stands without affecting their purpose but double check first. If they can then you could look for a tv stand that can incorporate the speakers as well as other media equipment. If you look for a tv unit with doors either side then you could remove the doors and have the speakers there. Might be an idea to make up a box from cardboard or whatever the size of a speaker then take it with you when you’re shopping so you’ll know if the speakers will fit, plus don’t forget the overall dimensions to see if it will fit in the corner. Speaker cloth on the speakers might make them look a little less intrusive. Hope that all made sense. Some pics of what I was thinking, so where the doors are is where you’d put the speakers:

Some great suggestions and ideas above. My personal preference would be to avoid a corner unit but have a unit or built in that uses the full width of the alcove and then, if necessary for viewing, angle the TV on top of that.
When you say computers are you talking about xbox/PlayStation type gaming? It will make a difference in what is suitable. I'm intending (I'm always intending BTW!!) to swap my TV onto a unit I have behind at couch at present but I'll have to take out the two top side by side drawers and replace them with wooden shelves to accommodate the sky box and a PlayStation. With a hole cut in the back for wiring it will transform it from a sideboard to a media type unit and save me searching for something else. It was an ebay find and nothing like the £400 price tag of the one you've found (which I do happen to like very much) might be worth checking auction sites and charity shops too if you're prepared to wait for the right item and do a big of upcycling.

I know, it's crazy expensive but I'm glad you think it's nice too. The computer things are the AMP and another gadget that we have all our dvds stored digitally. I like your idea of repurposing too. Food for thought.. :)

Ah right so you don't need them on show like a sky box etc that you need access to for remote controls to work.
I do like it but looking at your room again you'll have a real. Mix of styles and wood finishes on that wall with the other unit and fireplace

Mine was just a cheapie from Homebase. I think it was £149, made of oak but a bit of s rough finish which I don’t mind. They no longer do it. I saw this one on their site. Maybe a bit too industrial for your room?

I thought the oak one I found would work because it was the same colour as the mantle piece and the to of the coffee table. 200 quid cheaper and we're laughing! :)

If you're going for a corner cabinet id stay in keeping with the table personally like the last one Rachel posted or those on the link. What size do you need and I will have a proper look?

Just picking up on your coffee table and the other wooden items. The cabinet to the left of the fireplace is a different wood to others. So, I'd probably paint that to tie it in with the coffee table and then buy a corner unit to match both. Like this one:-

I moved the hanging chair out of the way of the T.V viewing area for the other sofa, as the view must have been blocked. I appreciate that you need to wall mount the Speakers, I suggest one by the curtains near the T.V and the other maybe on the other side towards the chest. I'm sure your husband will have an opinion on the direction of the sound. However, it gives a calmer look to everything.

Veronika, I know this one is too big, but I saw it this morning in my local charity shop. Good condition and only £90! If you have time it’s worth scouring charity shops, you’d be amazed what you can find.
