I would deffo get rid of the hot water tank & cupboard. I think too small for separate shower and bath, therefore I'd go for shower over bath. P shaped ones give more room in the shower zone. Baths generally desired in family homes for resale. Always nice to have the option of a soak even if you don't use it very often.

Hi. It's hard to tell colours online but your tiles seem to have a green undertone, wonder if farrow and ball mouses back (1st pic) would work? I'd add a wooden bath mat, this one is available from Victorian plumbing. On the wall opposite the sink a towel holder with a hammam towel, this is from not on the high street and available in a few colours. Do you also have room for art on that wall? I'd add a potted plant at the end of the bath. If you have the space then 3 small dark wood shelves over the wc and mirror over the sink and add candles etc.

It really comes down to how many clothes you have and how much space you need to store them, along with where you prefer to get dressed and how you use your ensuite - obviously no point having double sink if you never share the bathroom, but if you're brushing your teeth while the other half is doing their thing in the next sink then this bigger ensuite might work better for you. It all depends on how you want to live, how much stuff you have and where you want to store it. Good for you! When you source your next contractor don’t be afraid to tell them exactly what you want - all the little details. Inspect work at the end of the day, ask questions and make sure things are on track. It feels scary, but you are paying them for their time and at the end of the day you‘re essentially the project manager as well as the client and need to be happy with the finished product. In my (limited) experience, once a builder knows how precious you are about finer details, they’ll consult you on certain aesthetic decisions.
