While it's ok, I wouldn't go for this layout. I think you have 3 difficult corner cupboards. The fridge / larder corner is particularly difficult. I also think for a utility and what you have expressed as your needs for the space, you have too much counter and not enough easy to access storage. I think you (well definitely me) could easily lose things down the back.
While you could live with it and the cupboards would be filled up I don't think this is the most efficient use of the space you have.
If this was mine, I think I'd have a galley layout. No turn on the left. Then you can line up your washer and dryer next to each other. Or stack them for more space. While you lose a few cupboards you gain better access to the ones on each long wall. Which means you get better use of them.
I think I'd pop coats and wellies on the short wall near the right door. And a small broom cupboard or pet food supplies into that top right corner.
shuffle the sink along one way or the other with the washer and dryer under this counter. And the FF along that wall too. The opposite wall can hold a large larder and broom cupboard or FF.
You can store the kids toys up the left end.

When we designed our utility and the best thing we put in was 3 tall radiators along the wall. The radiators are dual fuel, so its great to hang all the laundry and drape super king sheets over it to be dried when back back from work. You can turn them on and off as you please...

If you do go with the idea of radiators, go with the galley design. You can also have hanging space over the sink for shirts etc

We used ikea units, with pull out drawers for whites/coloured wash. Next to the washing machine. Its a single 600 unit with 2 deep drawers on top of each other. This is a similar concept..

We have a cat litter tray in the bottom half of the tall cupboard with a cat shape door so you can open it properly with the normal door to clean it but less smells are present with the cat opening size.

This is basically putting in as much furniture into the space - wether it would be if any use it not !

So a sales person’s ideal - I don’t think it would be that great to actually use though.

Smaller spaces need to work hard - and are often the trickiest to design ...

Thank you J, Suzanne, Daisy and as always the wonderful Karen. You’ve all made me sit and think exactly what I want from the space. Sadly we won’t be able to put radiators in it. This is one of the last pieces of our home renovation puzzle so budget is at a low (!) and a space I’m in most of the time - Utility then my daughter’s bedroom and finally our drive way.

Karen I think you are spot on - lovely as he was, he was trying to cram in as much furniture as possible and though I want a lot of storage, I want it to be a space that fits my needs. It was also twice the price we budgeted. If anyone is able to give mean idea of how we can fit in the following, I’d be forever grateful.

We are looking for our utility room to house our:

• Extra Coats
• Linen & towels
• Cleaning products, mop, vacuum
• Cat litter tray and food storage
• Our extra fridge freezer ( we have an American one in our kitchen.)
• Vases
• Kids bike helmets and scooters
• An area to fold, hang and iron (the mountain of ..) clothes/ Area to sort clothes. Our roof isn’t one we can hang a drying rack from but I was thinking a wall one.
• A place for our outdoor shoes/ wellies
• Space for my overflowing cookbook collection
• Space for the kids outdoor toys
• Space for my table-clothes
• ... I think that’s it
