Comments (20)The box is locked with a mortice key (5 lever) and a lock that is welded into place. Not sure you can see the key hole on this image - but it is there. It’s also welded to the ground and is made of structural steel - using intimidation tactics to dissuade the opportunist. The added security is that it’s actually disguised as a planter and so most people are surprised to find it provides nearly 4sqm of extra storage. Comments (2)Bumping. Can’t help with the cladding dilemma but for what it’s worth I think it looks nice. Would be good to see other parts of the house for a comparison in colour and there could be a number of reasons why the colour has turned out lighter. For the rear fence there’s lots of choices but I think a vertical design or decorative panels would look good. I like the look of these irregular width vertical strips (see pic). Comments (3)Based on your classic mixed-pattern Kandla grey sandstone patio, here are some ideas for garden wall cladding and coping that complement the natural aesthetic, while avoiding an ultra-modern style: 1. Cladding Options: Kandla Grey Tumbled Sandstone Walling - Features a weathered, aged look with subtle grey tones, ideal for a rustic or traditional aesthetic. - Supplied by Miles Stone (Hampshire-based). Approximate coverage: 5-6 m² per tonne. Kandla Grey Z Clad Walling - Natural stone cladding with a dry-stone effect, offering a textured look. Great for garden walls with depth and character. - Available from Sandstone Supplies UK. Purbeck Split-Faced Walling Stone - A traditional limestone option for a warm yet neutral appearance. - Provided by Lovell Stone Group or Miles Stone for UK delivery. 2. Coping Options: Natural Kandla Grey Sandstone Copings - These match your paving perfectly and offer a smooth finish, ideal for a cohesive look. - Available from London Stone and Paving Direct. Reconstituted Stone Copings - Durable and affordable, available in neutral grey tones. Brands like Marshalls or Bradstone have UK-wide stockists. Check local suppliers through Marshalls or Bradstone.
