Hiring an interior designer
Comments (7)Hi @Marie, Choosing an Interior Designer can be a daunting, and at times costly experience. It is a standard practice for Interior Designers to offer a free initial consultation to learn about the project you have in mind. Often they won't start any work on designs or drawings without agreeing a charge for the service. I wonder whether you may be interested in our new online interior design service? We created Amazing Space to make home styling more personal, accessible and affordable to everyone without the more expensive price tag of a traditional interior design service where a designer would come to your home. Dulux Amazing Space allows customers to have a 30 minute online video consultation with a Dulux Design Expert who will discuss their ideas and suggestions for your new room design. Which means it won’t matter if you are currently out of the country. After the consultation the designer will continue to work on your scheme and ideas, making any changes or amendments discussed in the consultation. Within 48 hours after the consultation you will receive the following within your Amazing Space account: · Personalised Style Guide, which is a working mood board, complete with inspirational images and a collection product suggestions on to create the look you wanted. · Floor plan of your room, giving you ideas on how to get the best of your space with special planning and advice. · Annotations and notes from your Dulux Design Expert, giving you guidance and expert tips on how to really bring the scheme together. · Interactive shopping list which will take you through to the retailer’s website where you can purchase the suggested product from, all designed to make it easier for you to source the perfect items for your room. · 3D visualisation, a 3D representation of what your room will look like once the changes have been made. All of this is available for £75 per room, regardless of the size or if this is an open plan living space (such as a kitchen / dining room). We currently have a summer offer on where you can get all of this for £65 per room – Simply use our promotional code SUMMER16. We'd be happy to discuss anything with you over the phone to see if we can help on 0115 784 2642 or on Live chat on our website https://www.designer.duluxamazingspace.co.uk/ ? Good look with your project - if we could be of any other help, please get in touch!...See MorePainting uPVC windowd
Comments (19)I'm pretty sure ours were Ral 1000 Green / Beige. We've got some left in the garage, i'll try and remember to dig it out. However, no two would be the same unless the same paint was used on the same surface and put on in the same manner. Ours were sprayed with cellulose paint. I don't know how many coats, but quite a few. The windows were a dark brown UPVC. I agree that yours look a little more yellowy than ours though. However, they should resemble the sample that you were given, so that's more important. They do look nice....See MoreWhat's the craziest thing a neighbour of yours has done to their home
Comments (15)And when people don’t cut grass mice like it. At my last house the next door was let and when empty they didn’t cut the grass so eventually when it did get cut mice were displaced some into mine. This house was full of crazy stuff inside that we only found out when they tried to sell it but couldn’t. And these houses sell quick usually, I sold mine the first day and completed in six weeks, and my old friend has just sold the first week. Anyway this house had put a massage parlour in the garage all kitted out properly behind from the outside looked like a normal garage door. They kitted out two bedrooms as dressing rooms and the large family bathroom with no windows as a make up room. But apparently it had substantial hooks in the ceiling that people speculated was for an adult play swing! And the large kitchen living area was redone with a massive circular kitchen that looked like a nightclub bar. But at least it looked and still looks normal from the outside....See Morefamily lounge help
Comments (10)Hi Aisha, I don't think your layout is such that it's beyond impossible to lay out the lounge in an acceptable manner. I appreciate that everyone has an opinion, but sometimes ( especially on here ) it's easy to suggest moving doors etc that would lead to the perfect layout, but when that's not possible, or something that you want to do, then you need to work around it. The layout that i've given you has plenty of room to walk around the top sofa out of either doorway and centres the sofas around the existing fireplace and creates a T.V niche. You don't need more than that ....See MoreAnthony (Beano)
