Under stairs storage ideas
Comments (3)Hello, It depends what is your budget! Do you need DIY ideas in how to store your stuff? The one I have in my house (will be the first image) it can be a bit inefficient but I try to store everything in a box so it won't get messy. Alternatively you can think of built in shelving system. We also carry out similar projects to our clients time to time, you can see in our Portfolio. http://www.houzz.co.uk/projects/614974/under-stairs-storage-solution There are a lot of way in designing the right storage but have a thought firs, which idea is the most convenient for you. Comments (13)Indeed there are certainly many situations where the client is not right and one would refuse there requests, but in this situation not having a balustrade is almost no different than having one, the ceiling height is quite low, 2150mm and if you take an average height person, they will close to the bottom before their head is below the level of the first floor where they could fall sideways off the staircase and if you are going to fall head straight down from the top then with or with out a balustrade you will probably hurt yourself rather badly. When one browses through the interior property magazines of central London you will find many interiors that do not comply with building control...See MoreLayout ideas should I move the staircase
Comments (10)further to my post yesterday, my husband has given serious thought to what Jonathan said about the length of the garage. He has decided he doesn't want the car to just fit in, he wants the car to fit in and allow him to work on it. Jonathan also suggested putting downstairs loo, where our stairs are now. We are now thinking to move the garage wall to make the garage slightly narrower and to start the staircase from near the front door going straight up. Does anybody have any idea what a good width of a hallway and staircase would be, ie not narrow and squashed but not any bigger than it needs to be? Any ideas welcome, we will be using an architect but the more idea we have about what we want and what will work the better....See MoreStaircase ideas...
Comments (12)I'm with Danielle about the glass. Got a friend with a glass side staircase and she regretted it after loving it for a month because of the amount of cleaning in needs. Can't tell if Math's mock up takes the slats, all the, way to the ceiling but that's a great look, especially when painted charcoal /black if that works with your other decor....See MoreE D
