Cabinet pull HELP
Who knew cabinet pulls would be so complicated?!
I have narrowed in on cabinet pulls that I like. The Massey pull from Rejuvenation/Semi-Handmade.
However, there are problems. The ship date is quite a ways out. And there is no appliance pull offered. There are larger pulls, but as I need the pulls for a fridge and freezer, my understanding is they must be specifically appliance pulls.
So my questions, in hopes that a hardware obsessed soul here will have some suggestions:
1) Any similar pulls you can recommend? It seems like such a basic style, but the devil is in the details, as we all know. If anyone can recommend a pull in this style that retains the same classic look, I am all ears. A faster ship date would be great. (So would a lower price, but I have accepted that some dreams they cannot be lol.)
2) Can you recommend a complimentary appliance pull? Obviously, it won't be a perfect match, but something that coordinates well with this style.
3) Finish question - I am doing unlacquered brass. Is all unlacquered brass the same color? I would be hesitant to buy hardware from different brands due to the finish not matching. "Satin brass" can look different from brand to brand, ykwim. But to my mind, unlacquered brass is unlacquered brass. The finish should be the same, regardless of brand, because essentially there is no finish on top. Is that the case? Or is my hopeful brain making up lies?

Comments (51)Dear Azfar, I think your units are lovely, very sophisticated and much nicer than white. Your units and work tops are very similar to those I have in my kitchen, which also have black granite tops. I also have a wooden floor of a similar shade, please don't change this, it is lovely. I was aware when I had my kitchen fitted that the units appeared darker than in the showroom but this was due entirely to the colour of the walls they were installed on. To lift the units, and celebrate their beautiful colour, you should paint your walls a darker and contrasting colour, I have chosen a really shocking pink, Rock Candy, but there lots of options. The showroom I saw my units in used a burgundy colour, too dark for my Victorian kitchen. There are so many colour options which don't have to be expensive, play around with a few tester pots and see which you prefer. This is by far the cheapest option, and I'm sure you'll fall in love with your kitchen units again once your units are allowed to stand out. Incidentally your unit colour helps to visually integrate your stainless steel 'fridge, another reason to stick with it. Comments (31)If you've got the time and the inclination (and budgets are tight) I reckon it's worth giving the paint a go to see how it looks. Lots of the kitchens we're doing for clients now are ones with painted finishes and although (as mentioned above) this isn't the most classic style/a bit old fashioned it will look completely different painted. Comments (2)Thank you Jonathan. If it's the one i'm looking at then it does look very similar indeed expect it appears to have a thin border around the edge too. The problem that i'm having is finding a door that looks like a shaker but it doesn't have that 'depth'. I just want a plain door with a thin inlay or a square around it that's fully recessed.
