Plan. The alcoves next to the fireplace are quite deep. Not thought of putting the tv there but it wouldn’t leave a lot of rooms for the sofas/chairs.

My only advice to you is if you are thinking about putting the tv on the chimney wall, maybe check it out first by placing a similar size piece of paper there for a few days. TV’s on chimney walls are significantly higher than usual and can be really uncomfortable to look at!!!

Depending on your style and budget, there’s a free standing TV by Samsung called the Serif. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but is very popular with designers. If the current position of your TV works for you, it could be a more stylish alternative (if it’s your cup of tea!)

Other thought is - could the TV go where the aquarium is? The height looks ideal. (Maybe put the aquarium in the other alcove?)

What’s on the other side of the arch? It looks like it was a second room? If so, I’d be tempted to style it as a second room - maybe a cosy reading nook or a study area.
it all depends on what you need the room to do. Maybe start the process by thinking about what’s good about the current set up and what frustrates you...

Wall colour is lovely. I think the TV still doesn't look right there. I'd put it into the place below the window, you can still tilt it.

Hi Ellie we can only position our sofas one way so we Tried to put the tv more into the alcove but you can’t see the screen

Still at same angle, but just pushed in about a foot, should still mean everyone can see TV as it wouldn't be hidden by chimney breast.
