Loft conversion with two rooms and a bathroom

Hi, we live in a 1930’s semidetached house and wish to convert our really old loft room, extending it a bit to make room for two bedrooms and a toilet+shower room for our two girls. There’s enough space but my dilemma is, the side that’s facing the garden gets the full sun so very spacious. The side that‘s facing the road is a bit dark. The obvious design is for one room to face the garden and one in the front which would be the ideal usage of available space. But I’m thinking is there another do that we get two rooms looking at the garden hence getting the full sun somehow? Just wondering if anybody tried/seen this or is it a really bad idea?
