A grey could look nice, with legs that are tapered so that it lifted off the floor which will help with space or if you want to add more colour you could go for the dark blue which is in your rug. Hi Darren, I think when you have the space its always better to go bigger. As life and time changes we all end up needing more storage space in the end. Choosing the larger option also helps disguise more of the plug sockets and cables on that wall which can look insigthly when your sat on the sofa. In order for rooms to feel relaxed and have flow, where possible it's also important to maintain balance but centreing items to each other. Therefore i agree the TV should sit in the middle of the side board. I would also bring the TV down further on the wall. Keep it very simple. A large piece of artwork or print over the sofa and a large simply framed Scandi style mirror over the sideboard. I would echo your neutral colours and stay away from anything ornate. An alternative might be to fix simple shelves above your sideboard to give you room to create and change small displays. I would use floating shelves in white or a pale wood to echo your floor. Choose a large piece of artwork hung in the landscape orientation on the wall closet to the sideboard.

Your sideboard is gorgeous and just the right size. Your plant could go back but under the clock maybe? Juliet’s pics are fab, especially the second one. Do you use the TV much? If you do then let it be, if not much maybe move it. Or if budget allows how about one of those art TVs which show a piece of art when not in use? Also maybe paint the walls a more interesting colour. Navy looks fantastic with teak wood or a greeny-blue like F & B Oval Room Blue or Inchyra Blue. Juliet has a lovely green in one of her rooms but I can’t remember the name! It does depend on what else is in the room. You are certainly getting there.
